After EcoVadis corrections Nilfisk receives a Gold medal in its 2023 rating

After discovering inconsistencies in its EcoVadis 2023 rating Nilfisk engaged in a collaborative dialogue with EcoVadis. The errors were discovered and corrected resulting in a 6-point increase from 2022 giving Nilfisk a Gold medal again.

In October 2023 Nilfisk was mistakenly awarded a Silver medal in their EcoVadis rating instead of Gold. The drop in score was a surprise as Nilfisk had been driving improvements in many of these areas. Therefore, Nilfisk’s Sustainability team decided to validate the results with EcoVadis and discovered irregularities.

A dialogue between Nilfisk and EcoVadis proceeded in corrections in several areas and resulted in an increase from 65/100 points in 2022 to 71/100 points in 2023 firmly giving Nilfisk an EcoVadis Gold medal again.

Head of Global ESG & Sustainability, Malene Thiele comments:

“Indeed, a gold medal more accurately reflects Nilfisk’s commitment to sustainable growth and not least the hard work that many of our colleagues have put into making sustainability improvements across the business the past year. We were pleased that EcoVadis entered the dialogue and worked together with us to solve the issue”.

Nilfisk has now been lifted from 60/100 to 70/100 in Labour and Human Rights and from 60/100 to 70/100 in Sustainable Procurement, leading to a total increase of 6 points in Nilfisk combined score.

Nilfisk is already preparing the ground towards the 2024 submission where the ambitions remain high and the work to improve sustainability across the business continues.
