Performance with purpose

When we introduced The Silent Dane in 1932, we made a clear statement about what performance means to us. Yes, suction and airflow matter. But so does understanding where a machine is used, who is using it, and what’s happening around it.

At the time, The Silent Dane was one of the quietest vacuums on the market. It delivered strong cleaning results while operating discreetly enough to work without disrupting people nearby. It proved that performance isn’t just about raw power or numbers on a spec sheet. It’s about purpose, and designing machines with people and environments in mind.

That idea has shaped everything we’ve built since.

Built to handle real work

As cleaning moved into more demanding environments, performance took on new meaning. In 1958, we launched durable industrial vacuums designed to withstand tough factory conditions and run reliably shift after shift. Machines like these became known for their longevity, consistency, and ability to perform where failure simply wasn’t an option.

Over time, we applied the same mindset across every part of the cleaning world. From controlled cleanroom environments to busy production floors, warehouses, farms, and beyond, each setting comes with its own challenges. Dust types differ. Safety requirements change. Downtime carries real consequences.

True performance comes from understanding those differences and engineering solutions that meet them head-on.

Results that matter, across every application

Today, performance is more important than ever. We offer cleaning solutions for homes and businesses in virtually every industry. From consumer vacs and high-pressure washers to advanced professional and industrial solutions, our products are built to last and designed to deliver results. Regardless of the application, our focus is to help our customers tackle cleaning jobs quickly, reliably, and efficiently. But performance isn’t just about breadth — it’s about fit.

We tailor solutions and services to specific needs, combining equipment, accessories, and support to help customers achieve measurable results. That might mean cleaner air, safer workspaces, reduced downtime, or higher productivity. Often, it means all of the above.

And because performance doesn’t stop at delivery, our service network works alongside customers to keep equipment running at its best, day after day.

Performance that lasts

For us, performance isn’t a one-time achievement. It’s something that has to be delivered consistently, over time, in real conditions.

That’s why we build equipment to last. And why we continue refining how our solutions perform — not just when they’re new, but throughout their working life.

After 120 years, our definition of performance remains clear: results that matter, reliability customers can depend on, and solutions that work as hard as the people who rely on them.
