From the very beginning, collaboration has shaped Nilfisk. When P.A. Fisker realized that turning his ideas into reality required more than invention alone, he partnered with former colleague H.M. Nielsen. Fisker brought technical vision. Nielsen brought business insight. Together, they combined ideas, expertise, and determination to build something neither could have achieved alone.
That partnership set an early example of how we work. Even in those first years, Fisker actively sought inspiration from others, drawing on new ideas and emerging technologies to strengthen his own thinking. Collaboration was not a tactic. It was a mindset.

As Nilfisk grew, collaboration became part of how we operated every day. In 1914, we opened our first foreign office in Berlin, establishing closer relationships beyond Denmark and laying the foundation for an international network of partners.
In the 1920s, installment and leasing programs made advanced cleaning equipment more accessible. These initiatives changed how we worked with customers by building trust, flexibility, and long-term relationships rather than one-time transactions.
Over time, close cooperation with dealers, distributors, and service teams helped Nilfisk grow from a small workshop into a global provider of professional cleaning solutions. Local knowledge and hands-on support became just as important as the machines themselves.
