High Pressure Washers

Q: Machine does not start or stops during use

  • Check that the plug is correctly fitted to the wall socket

  • A fuse in the building may have blown and needs to be changed

  • The cord or plug may be damaged and need repaired. If your machine is under warranty, please contact your supplier directly. If your machine is outside of the warranty period please contact a service center

  • If you are using an extension cable check that this is not defect

  • Check that the mains voltage corresponds to specification on the model tag

  • If the thermal sensor is activated leave the machine for 5 minutes to cool down

  • Nozzle partially blocked. Clean the nozzle - Please look at the product page for your model to find the user manual

  • If none of the above actions apply – contact your supplier directly if your machine is under warranty or leave your machine with a service centre if your machine is outside of the warranty period

Q: Fluctuating pressure/no pressure

  • Check that hoses and connections are airtight

  • If you use a aquastop connector try to use straight through connector instead

  • Valves dirty, worn out or stuck - contact your supplier directly if your machine is under warranty or leave your machine with a service centre if your machine is outside of the warranty period

  • Pump seals worn out and needs replacement - contact your supplier directly if your machine is under warranty or leave your machine with a service centre if your machine is outside of the warranty period

  • Air in inlet hose/pump - allow machine to run with open trigger until regular working pressure resumes

  • Inadequate supply of mainswater. Check that the water supply corresponds to specifications required and avoid using long, thin hoses (min. 1/2") - Please look at the product page for your model to find the user manual

  • Nozzle partially blocked. Clean the nozzle - Please look at the product page for your model to find the user manual

  • Water filter blocked. Clean the filter - Please look at the product page for your model to find the user manual

  • Hose kinked. Straighten out hose

  • Check water supply for any blockages in nozzles or connector

  • The water pressure is pulsing. Allow machine to run with open trigger until regular working pressure resumes. Check that the water supply corresponds to specifications required on model tag. Avoid using long, thin hoses (min. 1/2"). Straighten out hose. Clean the nozzle. Clean the filter.

  • The inlet hose is too short. A minimum of 16ft of unwound inlet hose is recommended

Q: How do I pair my Power Grip/In Hand Power Control handle & machine?

  1. Use a small screwdriver to remove the small cover on the side of the InHand power control stick

  2. Place the small battery into the component

  3. You should see an orange light below the downwards arrow on the button of your InHand power control stick

  4. Switch on the high-pressure washer by turning the dial on your machine

  5. Press the upwards facing arrow to check the different power controls are working

  6. Turn the power off, screw the cover back onto the InHand power control and you're ready to go!

Q: How do I change the hose on my Nilfisk Core 140 high pressure washer?

  1. Release the 3 lock snaps and remove the hose reel cover
  2. Remove the lock spring
  3. Remove the hose by pulling it out through the hose channel in the machine
  4. Push the real end of new hose through the channel in the machine and mount it in the brass connector to fix it with the lock spring
  5. Make sure that the hose guide is mounted correct, to ensure clockwise rewind only

Q: How can I change the nozzle on my Nilfisk power patio accessory?

1. Take out the spare nozzles from the compartment in the top of your power patio accessory
2. Turn your power patio upside down and use a screwdriver to push out the metal hook attached to each nozzle, the nozzles should come away easily
3. Place the new nozzles on each end of the rotating patio cleaner stick
4. Push in the metal hooks again to secure the nozzles in place

Q: How do I clean the filter on my Nilfisk high-pressure washer?

1. Remove the blue connector at the back of your Nilfisk high-pressure washer
2. Using a pair of pliers, pull out the white filter from the machine
3. Tap out any dirt from the filter and run it under a tap to rinse it clean
4. Place the filter back inside your high-pressure washer and screw the connector back on

3. Using the cleaning pin, place the thin end into the nozzle and twist around, removing any dirt and grit

1. Turn your power patio upside down and use a screwdriver to push out the metal hook attached to each nozzle, the nozzles should then come away easily
2. Using the cleaning pin tool which can be found in the top of your Nilfisk high-pressure washer, place the thin end into the nozzle and twist around, removing any dirt and grit
4. Place the nozzle back onto the power patio and clip in the metal hook to secure into place
