Nilfisk achieves good ESG-ranking in a review of the top-100 listed companies in the Nordics

Nilfisk has a good position in a just-published ESG review from The Nordic based advisory company Position Green Group. The report 'ESG100 Nordic' goes through reporting in the 100 largest listed companies in both Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

Together with reputable companies like e.g., Ørsted, GN Store Nord, Novozymes and ISS - Nilfisk gets a "B" grade, which is in the fourth best category on a scale that goes from 'A' to 'F'.

The aim of the ESG100 report is to increase focus on the quality of ESG data. ESG reporting is currently undergoing huge development and is increasingly important for nuanced corporate performance analysis. At the same time, it is important to stress that reporting proficiencies alone does not guarantee commitment to sustainable change in the bigger picture.

"We are of course pleased to be acknowledged for our ESG reporting. It aligns with our ambition to lead our industry with sustainability and having anchored sustainability into the value proposition of our company", explains Malene Thiele, Global Director, ESG & Sustainability.

She continues:

"In Nilfisk we have set ambitious, science-based targets to reduce our climate impact. This applies to both the direct emissions linked to our operations (scope 1+2) and indirect emissions linked to the usage of our products (Scope 3). When it comes to decarbonization, our science-based target for scope 3 is key, as it accounts for app. 99 pct. of total emissions. And we will keep improving, both in the depth and in the breadth of the ESG agenda, to deliver on the rising sustainability demands of both customers and investors" Malene says.
